Risk Godstorm is a rich variant on the classic version that delves into the exciting mythology and culture of the Celts, Norse, Greeks, Egyptians, and Babylonians.
Territory control remains the core goal of the game, however, one of the biggest change to the classic rules is the presence of the Underwold. Rather than leaving the game when they are defeated, soldiers instead go to the heavens where they ready themselves to take over the rest of the Underworld.
Players can cast miracles to turn the tide of battle and acquire relics of power to call upon their mythological gods for aid. Once called, gods join the battle for supremacy across the ancient world and provide a variety of effects for the player who summoned them.
Risk Godstorm is great for casual to heavily-invested board game players who enjoy strategy war games and rich mythological settings and lore.
